Parent Organization: Human Performance Group, LLC (dba Learning Breakthrough Program™) – Privately held, Incorporated in Palm Beach County, Florida, USA.

Therapy Description: A series of balance, movement and eye-tracking exercises for brain fitness. All exercises are performed on highly specialized equipment designed to strengthen neurological processing. The program does not teach memory drills, compensatory tricks or game-styled computer interaction. Instead, it targets the precursor roots of cognition, improving the brain’s ability to absorb information from our eyes, ears and other senses and organize it more effectively. The approach is designed to complement and enhance other treatments including medications.

Development: Developed by Dr. Frank Belgau, former Director of the Visual and Motor Perception Laboratory – University of Houston. Development began in 1961 and continued to progress through 1982 when the Program was initially published.

Updated Version: A complete program revision was finalized and introduced in 2005, making the program suitable for easy in-home by the average family. The program includes a work-along DVD and user friendly instruction manual.

Suitable Ages: People six years of age and up, including adults and seniors, can use the program in their home without professional administration. Younger clients are exposed to the program most often when working closely with a developmental pediatric specialist or occupational therapist.
