Learning Breakthrough Program for Dyslexia, Learning Disabilities, Attention Deficit Disorder

Reading

The ability to read is one of the crucial foundations of success in the information age. If your child is struggling with reading, you know the frustration he or she faces in struggling to keep up with schoolwork. You know that poor reading ability must be dealt with for your child to have academic success. You also know the emotional difficulties that failure in reading can cause.

There are several basic brain processes involved in reading. Binocular teaming, or the proper focusing of the eyes, requires integration between the two hemispheres of the brain. Many reading problems are caused by inefficient coordination, and integration between the many brain structures and systems involved in the reading process and can be dealt with through sensory integration therapy.

The Learning Breakthrough Program uses balance as the central component to address sensory integration disorders that cause learning problems. Activities on the Belgau Balance Board can help your child to achieve greater integration between the two hemispheres of the brain. Learning Breakthrough Program activities using the Bean Bags or Pendulum Ball stimulate the eyes' binocular teaming.
