Learning Breakthrough Program for Dyslexia, Learning Disabilities, Attention Deficit Disorder

Dyslexia

As the parent of a dyslexic child you know that dyslexia makes it very difficult for your child to achieve academic success. The tragedy is that the problem masks the fact that your child is probably very intelligent, with aptitude and creativity in a variety of areas. You feel frustrated as you watch your bright child struggle with schoolwork, knowing that his or her ability far exceeds actual achievement. Your dyslexic child is probably not the victim of low intelligence. One theory is that Dyslexia is a brain processing, sensory integration disorder, and a problem that keeps people from reaching their maximum potential.

Dyslexics often confuse left and right, write letters or numbers backward, and transpose letters and numbers. These are symptoms of an underlying problem with spatial awareness. Problems in sequencing (e.g. difficulty following 2 or 3 step instructions or difficulty putting things in order) are also common symptoms of dyslexia.

The Learning Breakthrough Program uses balance as the central component. In order to understand the possible link between balance and dyslexia, it is necessary to understand the role that the sense of balance (vestibular system) has on all brain processes. Because we address underlying issues that can result in improved reading and writing ability, The Learning Breakthrough Program may be a helpful addition to traditional dyslexia treatment. If your child is under the care of a physician or educational professional for this or for any other reason, we encourage you to discuss the use of this program before beginning.
